They went through many years together battling multiple surgeries and treatments.

In October 2004 (breast cancer awareness month) Connie decided to have T-shirts made that said “Cancer Sucks!”® as a way to share her feelings in a humorous way with others going though the same and similar experiences. Connie and Teri wore them at work for a whole month. The positive response was amazing!

Connie and Teri decided what a great way to share this fun with others. They started making “Cancer Sucks!”® apparel available to the public so that everyone can enjoy this humorous form of expression.
